Iskender Kebap
Iskender is the name of the person who first invented the Iskender Kebap. He served it in his restaurant in Bursa named after him (Kebapci Iskender, Ataturk Caddesi No.60 BURSA) . Since 1867 they have been serving this dish and only this dish.
The specially prepared slices of doner kebap are laid over small pieces of
Turkish `pide` bread and a dollop of yoghurt is put on the side. Then, comes the molten butter which is poured over the top. Try and resist.... A drink of Shira (a type of grape juice) tops it all off.
